With the Federal budget just around the corner, Palliative Care Australia is calling on Commonwealth, state and territory governments to increase funding for end-of-life care.
They say demand for palliative care has spiked after the pandemic, with more people being diagnosed with terminal illnesses that have gone unchecked.
They also say there needs to be better communication with multicultural and First Nations communities to better understand cultural and spiritual differences when it comes to end of life care.
The organisation has launched an information campaign in multiple languages this week, to better inform these communities.
